Gift Aid It
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows charities such as us, The Black Watch Regimental Trust to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers. This means that for every pound you donate, we can claim an additional 25p from HM Revenue & Customs, at no extra cost to you.

Gift Aid FAQ's
You must be a UK taxpayer to be eligible for Gift Aid. This means you must have paid enough Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year to cover the amount that all charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year.
Gift Aid increases the value of your donation by 25%, enabling us to Provide Welfare to former Black Watch Soldiers and their dependants who are in need, Promote Comradeship through Black Watch Association branches, centrally arranged events, and via a range of volunteering opportunities at The Black Watch Castle and Museum and Preserve Heritage by sharing The Black Watch story and preserving the artefacts and archive for future generations via the work of The Black Watch Castle and Museum.
If you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in a tax year, you will be responsible for paying any difference.
Yes, you can cancel your Gift Aid Declaration at any time by notifying us. This will apply to donations you make on or after the date of cancellation or a specified date.
