The Black Watch Castle and Museum offers a convenient and well-equipped setting for meetings, training sessions, and conferences. Located in central Perth, our venue is easy to reach by car, public transport, or on foot, with on-site parking for guests.
We provide two adaptable spaces suitable for a range of business events, from small team meetings to larger presentations. Our Events Team will help you plan the details and will be available on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly. With modern facilities, reliable technology, and high-quality catering available on-site, we make it simple to host a productive and comfortable event.
Room Options
Our two professional meeting spaces are designed to suit a wide variety of business events, from intimate strategy meetings to larger presentations. Both offer a unique atmosphere, flexible layouts, and the option to combine spaces for breakout sessions.
Queen Mother Room
Our largest and most versatile space, the Queen Mother Room can accommodate up to 100 guests in theatre-style seating and is suitable for all common meeting layouts including boardroom, cabaret, classroom and U-shape arrangements. Located on the ground floor, it is fully accessible with its own private entrance and exit. Attendees can be dropped off directly at the access point if required, making arrival easy and discreet. Natural light and a neutral style create a comfortable, professional setting.
Queen Mother Room
Our largest and most versatile space, the Queen Mother Room can accommodate up to 100 guests in theatre-style seating and is suitable for all common meeting layouts including boardroom, cabaret, classroom and U-shape arrangements. Located on the ground floor, it is fully accessible with its own private entrance and exit. Attendees can be dropped off directly at the access point if required, making arrival easy and discreet. A character-filled meeting room located on the upper floor of the Castle, the Wavell Room can seat up to 12 guests in boardroom layout. Overlooking the North Inch, it offers a private, focused environment ideal for executive meetings or interviews. The room is accessible via a lift for those with mobility needs, although due to its dimensions it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Waterloo Room
A character-filled meeting room located on the upper floor of the Castle, the Wavell Room can seat up to 12 guests in boardroom layout. Overlooking the North Inch, it offers a private, focused environment ideal for executive meetings or interviews. The room is accessible via a lift for those with mobility needs, although due to its dimensions it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Both rooms can be arranged to suit your event style, and our Events Team will ensure everything is ready for your arrival. If your event requires multiple spaces or a breakout area, we can advise on the best combination of rooms to meet your needs. A member of our Events Team will be on hand throughout your booking to assist with room setup, technical support, and any additional requests during your event.

FAQs
Yes, parking is free when using our on-site public car park. If the car park is full, several council-run car parks are located adjacent to the grounds.
Our Events Team is available throughout the day to assist with any AV setup or troubleshooting.
Set-up is available from the start time of your booking. If you require earlier access, we can amend the hire period to accommodate your needs.
Once your booking is confirmed and the initial quote is accepted, we will send an invoice for the venue hire along with our terms and conditions for signing. Your booking is secured once these are returned and payment has been received. The balance invoice will be issued after final numbers are provided, fourteen days before your event.
