FAQs
What are the payment and deposit terms?
To secure your booking, an initial deposit invoice will be issued. This must be paid in order to confirm your event date.
Following your event, a balance invoice will be issued to cover the remaining cost along with any extras such as bar accounts or additional requests on the day. This balance must be paid within seven days of the invoice date.
What are the access times for suppliers?
Suppliers can access the venue from 9am until our normal operating hours, which are 4.30pm from April to October and 4pm from November to March. Arrangements can be made directly with the Events team to confirm set-up times in advance.
Is alcohol permitted at events?
All events must operate in line with our premises licence. We are committed to ensuring all aspects of alcohol service comply fully with licensing regulations.
Is the venue accessible?
The Castle and its event rooms have been designed to be welcoming to all guests. For full details on accessibility across our spaces, please see the accessibility section on this website or speak directly to our Events Manager.
What is your cancellation policy?
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel, written confirmation must be sent to the Bistro and Events Manager. Email communication is accepted. Cancellation charges apply as follows:
The deposit payment is non-refundable.
Within 30 days of the event date, 25% of the full event value will be payable.
Within 7 days of the event date, 50% of the full event value will be payable.
Within 48 hours of the event date, 100% of the full event value will be payable.
