On Saturday 25th February The Black Watch Regimental Trust held its biennial reward and recognition evening to celebrate the achievements and contributions of the team in supporting the Trust’s charitable aims and creating exceptional visitor experiences.
The glittering evening of celebration was held at Balhousie Castle with invited guest Liam Gordon, Captain of the local football club St Johnstone F.C. in attendance to present awards to the worthy winners. With 10 award categories ranging from personal development to best team player, there was an opportunity to showcase the diverse range of talent and commitment within the staff and volunteer team.
Anne Kinnes CEO said of the event, “We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Balhousie Castle celebrating the achievements of our team. I am incredibly proud of the team and their commitment to exceeding our visitors’ expectations whilst sharing the story of Scotland’s oldest Highland Regiment. I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to Liam Gordon, who gave our winners their awards, and to Ben Mardall from Raey Forest Estates who did an excellent job of hosting our event.”
The Volunteer of the Year trophy was awarded to the Gardening Team, a group of Black Watch veterans who generously give their time to ensure the Castle grounds and memorials are well cared for throughout all seasons. The Employee of the Year award went to Linda Campbell, Financial Controller, for her continued dedication to going the extra mile in her role each day.
