The Black Watch Castle and Museum are welcoming donations of any pre-loved toy bricks that may be gathering dust in your cupboards at home. The bricks will be given a new lease of life with visitors having hours of fun creating and building brick models at the Castle’s exciting new event in October.
Stuart Kennedy, Museum curator explains, “We would be delighted to receive donations of any unused toy bricks you have at home. You can give any kind of brick, big or small and it doesn’t need to be a full set. They will be used in a specially created play area as part of our upcoming event where all ages can get involved in a range of creative crafts and building brick models.
Stuart continues, “Following the event we will clean the toy bricks and donate them back to selected local charities where children can have many more hours of fun playing and creating with them.”
This initiative is great way to declutter your home and reduce waste whilst giving your old toy bricks the chance to be loved again!
To donate your bricks simply box them up or place in a bag and deliver to the front desk at The Black Watch Castle and Museum. If you would like to post, please address to Brick Building Donations, The Black Watch Castle and Museum, Hay Street, Perth, PH1 5HR.
