Oil Paintings in Public Ownership is a catalogue presenting the range of publicly owned oil paintings across Perth, Kinross and Angus in north east Scotland. It features around 2,000 works from 13 collections.

The majority of the collection is held by local authorities and displayed in museums, galleries and civic buildings, with additional works housed in hospitals, a college, a scientific research institute and independent museums.

The catalogue highlights key aspects of the region’s cultural and historical heritage, including Scotland’s oldest Highland Regiment, its first free public lending library, Britain’s first operational military airfield and the people who have shaped the area.
