- Free On-Site Parking – Dedicated spaces for coaches, ensuring convenient access for group visits.
- Accessibility – Step-free access, lifts to all levels, and accessible restrooms to accommodate guests with mobility challenges.
- The Black Watch Museum – Explore over 300 years of military heritage through interactive exhibits, historic artefacts, and compelling soldier stories.
- Castle Gift Shop – Browse a selection of Scottish gifts, regimental memorabilia, and souvenirs to take home.
- Bistro @ The Castle – Enjoy locally sourced dishes, afternoon teas, and group dining options in our welcoming on-site bistro.
- (We encourage all tour groups to pre-book their visit to the Bistro as space can be limited during peak hours. Doing so will allow us to offer the best experience for your group’s visit).
- Private Event & Dining Spaces – The Queen Mother Room and Wavell Room offer elegant settings for special occasions, meetings, and exclusive dining experiences.

Ideal for groups with limited time, multiple tours can be arranged at staggered intervals to accommodate larger parties.
- The Black Watch Story Tour – Delve deeper into the regiment’s 300-year history with this comprehensive 60-minute guided tour. Guests will discover compelling soldier stories and gain a profound understanding of The Black Watch’s role in shaping Scotland’s military heritage. Subject to staffing and volunteer availability, we can accommodate larger groups, with multiple tours at staggered intervals.
- Bespoke Tours – For a more personalised experience, our 60-minute bespoke tours are tailored to reflect the specific interests of your group. Whether focusing on particular historical events, artefacts, or themes, we work closely with you to create a unique and enriching experience. Multiple bespoke tours can be scheduled at staggered intervals to suit your itinerary.
Exclusive Packages: For those looking for an enhanced experience, we offer unique packages:
- Private Guided Tour and Lunch – Ideal for FIT and tour groups, this package offers a private guided tour of the museum followed by a two-course lunch in our bistro. It’s a perfect blend of cultural enrichment and culinary delight, ensuring your clients enjoy a comprehensive visit. Groups need to be prebooked on request, and we are happy to tailor the experience to your group’s interests.
- Exclusive After-Hours Experience – This 2.5 to 3-hour evening package includes welcome refreshments, an exclusive guided tour of the museum (with an optional behind-the-scenes component), and dinner served in the historic Wavell Room. This intimate experience allows guests to immerse themselves in the museum’s ambiance after regular hours, making it a truly memorable visit.
