Lacquered Bamboo Salad Bowl

To create this lacquer spun bamboo waves salad bowl, the raw bamboo is cut down into very thin strips, softened and then moulded into the shape required. It is then dried in natural sunlight, sanded, polished and lacquered many times to achieve a beautiful iridescent finish.
