Celebrate spring with 2 weeks of imaginative craft sessions designed for children! Each session encourages creativity, hands-on learning, and a chance to take home a personalised craft. Some activities are inspired by the fascinating history of The Black Watch, giving children a fun way to explore stories from the past while making something unique.

Craft Sessions:

Tuesday 7th April: Nest Builders – Create a cosy home for springtime birds as children design and decorate their own nest scene, complete with birds. This session encourages imagination and hands-on making, with a finished craft to take home and display.

Thursday 9th April: Highland Horse – In this session, children will use a range of craft materials to create their own horse while learning about the crucial role horses played in military history across the centuries

Tuesday 14th April: Spring Landscapes – Bring a springtime picture to life by designing a bright and playful landscape filled with nature and animals. Children will create their own scene and add a fun interactive element, making this a lively and imaginative craft to take home.

Thursday 16th April: Crafty Crocodile – The Black Watch has travelled to many parts of the world over its long history. In this session, children will create a crocodile adding colour, patterns and personality while learning about some of the places the regiment has served.
