Drop-In Poppy Crafts

Date: 2nd November
Time: 10am -12pm and 1pm – 3pm
Price: £5 per child with one accompanying adult (*museum entry is not included)

Join us for a creative and meaningful day of drop-in crafts on 2nd November, perfect for families looking to honour and remember those who served. From 10am–12pm and 1pm–3pm, children can explore their artistic side by crafting their own poppy-themed creations using two hands-on techniques:

  • Air-Dry Clay Poppies: Children will work with clay, paint, and other materials to shape and decorate a beautiful poppy keepsake to take home.
  • Egg Carton Poppy Wreaths: Using simple materials like egg cartons, cardboard, and paint, children can design and build a special poppy wreath for Remembrance Day.

With your ticket you can enjoy a brief visit to our First World War gallery to learn about the lives of The Black Watch soldiers during the war, adding deeper meaning to your crafting experience.

No booking necessary (subject to availability)—just pop in and get crafting!
