Hop on over to the Castle and Museum this Easter

It’s starting to warm up, there are green leaves on the trees and (sometimes) the sun is in the sky! Spring is on its way which means only one thing; it must be time for Easter. Here at the Castle and Museum we have some awesome activities planned which we think, just might, distract you from eating all that tempting chocolate.

Throughout the Easter holidays (4th – 19th April) we are running an egg-citing Easter Bunny Trail in the Museum. The baby bunnies have decided hid in our cases; can you search high and low for them all and crack their codes? We promise a treat if you succeed!

On Thursday 9th April why not pop along to the Castle for some fun with clay? We will be creating Easter themed clay models so you can use to imagination to make Easter eggs, bunnies or maybe even a little spring chick. There will also be a chance to decorate your creation on the day so it is ready to take home. Places will go fast so be sure to book soon!

Over the Easter weekend (10th – 13th) drop in and try your hand at wooden egg decorating. Maybe you’ll add some stylish patterns, paint a rainbow or even go dotty with polka dots; the choice is yours.

If you haven’t totally overindulged on sweet treats, then you’ll have another chance on Wednesday the 15th, when you can come along and decorate your own Easter cookies. Don’t forget to take them home – we can only eat so many!
