October 2022 sees the 80th anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein. To remember this famous battle and the men of Perthshire who were involved we delve into the rich selection of memoirs and accounts from The Black Watch, Highland Division, and other participants to hear of personal recollections of El Alamein.
From ‘The Moon to Kirkcaldy’, with readings from family members and hopefully in the presence of El Alamein veterans, lecturer Tess Monteith will guide us through the recollections and memoirs of this key battle that marked the beginning of the end of the western desert campaign.
