Explore the Museum with your class
Special programmes are available for educational visits, focusing on the First World War and the Second World War. Our educator-led workshops include exploring the Museum, dressing up in period uniforms, learning from primary sources, object handling and more. We are keen to use the educational potential of collections to facilitate formal and informal learning.
Educator-led sessions are available as half day workshops, Tuesday-Thursday morning. School groups are encouraged to explore the museum galleries in the afternoon.
Self-guided visits are welcome at any time during museum opening hours; please book in advance to avoid clashes with other groups visiting the museum.
We have a dedicated Education Room to host events, school groups and other informal learning visits.
