The Black Watch was an elite military Regiment whose history stretches back almost three centuries. This website aims to provide comprehensive information on everything 'Black Watch' from the history of the Regiment to its current activities and exists to celebrate and sustain that unique heritage and tradition.
The Black Watch ale label
This label for The Black Watch ale was gifted by a donor local to the Tomintoul Brewery where the ale was produced.
The Tomintoul Brewery was opened in 1993 and taken over by Aviemore Brewery in 2000. This is now part of the Cairngorm Brewery.
The Black Watch ale was in circulation in Perth during the early 1990s.
