The Black Watch Museum Object of the Month

In its new role as the 3rd Battalion of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, The Black Watch is facing new demands and commitments and along with Black Watch Territorial soldiers and Cadets forms part of a vibrant and thriving community.

Army Cadet Force

The Black Watch has a long and proud association with young people in its area.  There are two Army Cadet Force Battalions with affiliations to the Black Watch. They are the Angus and Dundee Battalion (who recruit from the County of Angus and the City of Dundee) and the Black Watch Battalion ( who recruit from the Perth and Kinross).

Each battalion provides well structured activities such as map reading, first aid and the chance to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme. Both battalions have active Pipe Bands. Boys and girls aged 12 and over can join. To find out more about your local Cadet Battalion either phone 01382 533349 (Angus and Dundee) or 01738 626571 (Perth and Kinross).

These Battalions are always looking for new cadets and instructors and anyone interested in joining can find out more by calling the numbers above.
